Our Values | Our Actual Market | Our Regular Clients
Méridien Maritime is a young and really dynamic company with a new approach of expertise in the maritime field.
In the beginning, the company, with a strong experience in cost-analysis, was mostly operating in project management. But the market was suffering of a lack of tradesman to perform their Class Inspection. Méridien Maritime Inspection was then brought up gathering a team of certified inspectors to meet the Classification Societies and Canadian Welding Bureau’s standards. Class Inspection often leads to some steel work; then again Méridien Maritime Réparation was created gathering a large team of versatile well qualified and experienced workers. After only a few years, our team has built up a reputation that valued their recognition and accreditation from the Canadian Welding Bureau, ABS, Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyd’s Register: recognition of the quality of our work. Méridien Maritime has now set new standards in the maritime field with its advanced technologies and the quality of its workmanship as well of its respect of the owner’s budget and schedule.
Those qualities are the bases of Méridien Maritime. We are well recognized in the field for our leadership, our unconventional ideas and our hard work as well as our strategic skills to surround us with only the best people. Our achievements are all the results of the good team work (up to 140 workers depending on the season throughout the year) and team spirit you find at Méridien Maritime. Each and every member of that team brings, through is life experience and skills, a contribution to the enterprise’s development. With an average age of 35 years old, Meridien’s team can combine experience and new ideas which is pretty exceptional in our field.
We have a strong belief in the quality of our team and we will be honoured to let you experience its strengths.
Please note that for Méridien Maritime, there is no big or small realization. Each and every contract awarded is taken as a proof of confidence from our client. Each and every time, it is a new challenge that we must succeed while respecting the budget and the scheduled delivery date without ever neglecting our high standards of quality of workmanship. Here’s what, we think, sets us apart from our competition. Since those three goals (Budget, Schedule and Quality) are well defined throughout the members of our team, with good planning and with each and every step of the work meticulously analysed we perform the job without using the heavy equipment we are use to see in a shipyard. Therefore, we are always looking for better ideas leading to solutions, which, we feel, is extraordinary since we are always in motion towards innovation.
In conclusion, Respect (of expectations, budget and schedule), Planning and Creativity are the three elements contributing to our growth and they ensure that we will keep growing since they are the keys of our success.
Most of our contracts are in the maritime field in Eastern Canada, but on few occasions we have sent teams of workers to China and the Bahamas (Bahamas Shipyard). In the past year, we have worked out new business relations in the industrial field with the Cirque du Soleil.
In the past years, we have build up a good reputation through out our various contracts of inspection and ship repair. With that reputation, our clients are using our services regularly to fulfill their needs in maintaining their fleet.
